Ministry Team Senior Pastor Paul Blizard is Senior Pastor of Memorial Baptist Church. Paul's ministry at Memorial began June of 1998. Paul graduated from Howard Payne University Brownwood, Texas with a B.A. in Bible and Biblical Languages. (1988) Paul also earned the M.Div. degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.(1993) He has continued his studies at Liberty Theological Seminary, Lynchburg, Virginia and The Jerusalem Center for Biblical Studies, Jerusalem, Israel. During his college years Paul was a full time vocational Southern Baptist evangelist. During his Seminary years he served as an associate pastor at Shivey Heights Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He then was called to his first full time pastorate, First Baptist Church of Fairdale, Kentucky. (1989-93) From there Paul was called to pastor Reidland Baptist Church of Paducah, Kentucky. (1993-1998) In June of 1998 Paul was called to Memorial Baptist Church as senior pastor. Paul also serves as a Trustee for the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Paul and his wife, Pat have seven children, and two grandchildren. Paul and his wife Pat were converted from a third generation Jehovah's Witness background. Youth and Recreation Pastor Mark Agnor, Youth and Recreation Pastor was born in Roanoke, Virginia. He was saved and called to the ministry during his teen years with a great burden to reach children and teenagers with the gospel. He earned his B.S. in Business Management from North Carolina State University and the M.Div. degree with Christian Education emphasis from The Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, North Carolina. His ministry has included being on staff at several churches in North Carolina as youth and associate pastor over the last 10 years. He was called to Memorial Baptist Church in January of 2004 and manages a full slate of activities and programs through the youth and recreation ministries. Senior Adults Pastor Charles Bright was called as Senior Adults Pastor at Memorial Baptist in 2006. Charles was born in West Virginia, saved at age of 17 and called into the ministry the same year. He earned his B.A. Degree from Bob Jones University and M.Ed. from Lynchburg College, and D.R.Ed. from Trinity Seminary. His ministry has included several years as Child Evangelism Director and pastoring churches in West Virginia for 28 years.
